Ishah Janssen-Faith:
Artistic Director
Ishah has come to New
York via London, where she trained for two years with Philippe
Gaulier. While in London, she set up Bouillabaise Theatre
Co. With her company, she wrote, devised and produced a
clown show about the live organ trade, which proceeded
to tour the London Fringe. She has also produced a monthly
Midnite Theatre Night, which produced original work. Strictly
as an actor, she has recently appeared as Cute Girl in "Not
From Canada" (Sponsored by Nobody), Olivia in “Twelfth
Night” (Loft Theater), Ensemble in "The Magnificent
Cuckold" (Connelly Theater with East River Commedia)
and Margherita in Dario Fo’s “Can’t Pay
Won’t Pay” (Loft Theater). Most recently she
has been performing as part of Clowns Ex Machina in "Clown
Axioms", "Clowns
by Dead Reckoning" and "Not
Just for Shock Value: A Femmes-Clowns Assemblage" currated
by LaMama, Undergroundzero Festival, Artists of Tomorrow
Festival and FABFour Festival. She also performed solo
and duo clown acts in the New York Clown Theater Festival.
She has written many short and full length pieces for the
stage. She received her BA in Theatre from Smith College
and studied at BADA. Contact
