Jack McGowan:
Director of Operations
Jack McGowan is a graduate
of Marymount Manhattan College (cum laude, BFA) and has
attended The British American Drama Academy (BADA) in London. He
is currently working for the Metropolitan Opera as a stage
fighter for the 2005-6 season. He has worked with theatre
companies throughout New York and the country, and done
roles in numerous films, most recently Sidney Lumet’s
Find Me Guilty and Mel Brooks’ The Producers (where
his scene-stealing talents were left on the cutting room
floor).
Jack is also a director, winning first place in the Off-Off
Broadway Festival of ’03 with “Born To Be Blue” by
Mark Bellusci, which led to its subsequent publication. In
addition, Jack is a certified crisis counselor for the
Anti-Violence Project of New York City (AVP), helping victims
of violence and domestic abuse in the queer community,
and works as a fitness instructor throughout the city.
Most recently, Jack was seen in “A Midsummer Night’s
Dream” with the New England Repertory Theatre Company. Contact
